Dillon was sleeping in her bedroom with one of her children — her husband and other child asleep in another room — when she woke up and made eye contact with a figure in the doorway.
“I open my eyes, and in the passageway to the bedroom is a man,” Dillon said on New Year’s Eve, adding that the figure was silhouetted by the kitchen light behind him.
“When I made eye contact with this person, they just kind of started walking backwards, and then just walked back towards the kitchen.”

She initially assumed it was just Cam checking on her, but was unable to shake an eerie feeling as she tried to go back to sleep.
“I couldn’t help thinking it was really strange, so I got up and woke up Cam and asked him, ‘Did you come and check on me?’,” Dillon said.
Dillon said her “heart sank” when she learned that her husband hadn’t come to check on her.
“Well, there’s someone in the house,” she told him.
After a full check of the house, confirming the doors were locked and no one was inside, the pair headed to the garage.
“We go out to the garage, we look up, and we have one of those manholes — and it was half-open,” Dillon said.
“And it definitely would be possible for someone to get up there because right underneath the manhole is my car. So you can literally climb up onto my car and get in.”
As her husband climbed up to look around up there, Dillon said she “was shaking”.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been so scared in my whole life,” she said.
During a brief look around the roof cavity from the manhole, there was no immediate sight of anyone inside, but Dillon said she was hoping Cam, or police, would soon inspect the space more carefully.

A number of Dillon’s 2.7 million followers flocked to the comments section of her post to ask whether the incident suggested signs of “phrogging”.
“It’s where someone lives in your home without you knowing,” one person said, explaining the phenomenon.
“I honestly think someone is living up there. I’ve seen it happen to a few people,” another said.
“(In) my first house I, no joke, had someone living inside my roof. They were showering, eating my food and stole my second set of house keys. I ended staying at my mum’s house,” another said.
“I never went back after that, broke my 12-month lease and all. I didn’t care. I never found out who it was either.”
One of Dillon’s followers pointed out a footprint they spotted in footage from inside the ceiling cavity, but other comments suggested the silhouetted figure was a dream, or paranormal activity.
Dillon acknowledged the possibility that the initial sighting, which she said had felt “so real”, may have been a figment of her imagination.
She also noted that the other suspicious instances which followed — including returning home to find internal doors, which had been left open, closed — may just have been her children.
She has since filed a police report and is in the process of installing security cameras inside the house.
